Ductless Systems | Air Conditioning Installation

There are a number of types HVAC systems available for installation. They include central AC, heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, ductless systems, and others. With somany options to choose from, there is one right for your home and budget. Oneof the more recent HVAC systems witha rising popularity is the ductless system. When considering a ductless system, contact Cypress Heating and Air Conditioning for additional information, and/or heating and air conditioninginstallation.

How It Works

As the name implies, the system doesn’tutilize central ducts for delivery of conditioned air. As with most systems, itis comprised of two parts, the evaporator, and the condenser. The evaporator isan indoor ceiling or wall-mounted component typically called the air-handlingunit. The evaporator contains the evaporator coil, a fan, and the controlsystem.

The second part of the system is the condenser, which is located outdoors. It consists of the condenser coil, the compressor, anda fan. The two components connect to each other via the refrigerant lines, andelectrical cables supplying electricity to the outdoor condenser. A small holeis required to allow the passage of cables and pipes.

Benefits

The ductless system offers a number ofbenefits, including:

·      Provides quiet operation

·      They are easier to install since they do not require ductwork, andrequire only a small hole for the passage of cables and refrigerant lines

·      Ductless systems offer an option for room additions, or homes whereductwork is lacking, and/or can’t be installed

·      Provides customized temperature from room to room or zone to zone

·      Offers an energy efficient option for those who want to cut energycosts

·      Provides an ideal solution for those with allergies utilizing HEPA filters for the highest indoor airquality, and lacking ducts which can distribute indoor pollutants

Each room or zone has its own thermostat, forsetting the desired custom temperature for each area. The versatility of custom temperature control saves energyand money, by allowing you to heat or cool just the rooms’ necessary, withoutheating the entire home.

Energy lost through leaky ducts can account formore than 20% of a home’s energy consumption for heating and air conditioning. A ductless systemeliminates the loss, providing an additional means of saving energy, and money.Contact Cypress Heating and Air Conditioning for additional information, or toschedule heating and air conditioninginstallation.
